Local Ambassadors

Karito Acuna, originally from Colombia, is heavily involved in Western Australia’s dance scene including producing a West TV live segment 'Just Dance' in 2014, and was crowned Fremantle Carnivale Queen in 2014.  She founded two distinct Latin American-based radio shows in Fremantle, which celebrate the rich variety of Latin American culture in Australia.  Her latest TV appearance was as a contestant for 'My Kitchen Rules' 10th anniversary this year.

Javier Codina, co-owner of Moda Restaurant, is acknowledged as a leading figure in the dynamic local food industry, gaining a host of awards and invitations to present at a number of internationally-recognised food events. Javier’s inspired, inventive dishes capture the essence of his cultural influences - Catalan, French and Italian - meshed with his professional expertise and the freshest local produce.
